As part of Art Week, Year 5 have been finding out about interactive installations. We learnt about the work of Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang and his use of explosive art techniques.

We tried using these techniques with stencils to create our own mini nativity scenes whilst experimenting with space and scale.

Following this, we thought about the message we wanted our installation art to communicate.

Peace. Guidance. Togetherness 

Finally, we designed a class installation around the Nativity bringing all our ideas together.
