In 6E this week, we have investigated how to classify animals we can find in the local area to our school.
We discussed the animals that we saw when walking to school or on the playground, reminding ourselves of the classification features, such as vertebrate or invertebrate. We then learnt how to correctly classify these animals using a key system, with uses key questions to group the animals, filtering them down to one eventually. We then created our own using the local animals.
We had fun imagining what a classification sign for a human might look like too!
