Both Year 3 classes have been learning about what plants need to grow. They have been experimenting where there seeds will grow best and what conditions they need. They thought carefully about the requirements for healthy plant growth, including water, air, light, nutrients from the soil, room to grow, and warmth. By setting up fair tests and observing the changes over time, the children began to discover how each of these factors is important in helping plants stay healthy and strong.
