In our new history topic, we are learning all about the Vikings. To introduce the topic, the children read books, worked together to piece puzzles, and carefully examined different artefacts to spark their curiosity. These activities helped them to start thinking like historians and ask important questions.
As we continue our learning, we will investigate who the Vikings were and what their lives were like. We will explore where they came from and discover the countries they travelled from. We will also learn why they became known as fierce warriors and why people in England were so frightened of them.
