Week 6 in Reception

What a magical and imaginative week we’ve had in Reception! πŸ’›

πŸŒ³πŸ“– Our Magical Story Box took us into the deep, dark woods, where we met Little Red Riding Hood! ❀️ The children helped her think about the choices she could make, learning about safer strangers and ways to keep herself safe. We even came up with the clever idea of wearing a camouflage hood to help her hide from the hungry wolf! πŸΊπŸƒ This led us to explore how animals use camouflage to stay safe.

πŸŽ¨πŸ–οΈ Art Week has begun! We have been making purposeful marks and lines using wax crayons and felt-tip pens, exploring our creativity and expressing our wonderful ideas through art. 🌈

βœοΈπŸ‘Ύ Drawing Club has arrived! The children absolutely loved this imaginative time, creating delicious food for the wolf and inventing monsters that Little Red might meet in the woods. Their creativity was fantastic, and I can’t wait to see where Drawing Club takes us next week! 🐺🍰✨

πŸ’›β˜€οΈ We finished the week by celebrating World Mental Health Day. We talked about our feelings and how we can look after ourselves by doing things that make us happy. Wearing yellow certainly brightened up our classroom! πŸ’›πŸŒ»
