A Visit from a Radiographer

On Friday, a radiographer, talked to us about the skeleton and how it works with our muscles. She explained that a skeleton is the framework inside a body that gives it shape, protects important organs, and helps it to move. We learnt that some living things have skeletons, while others do not. She also told us that there are different types of skeletons: endoskeletons, like humans and other animals have inside their bodies; exoskeletons, like insects have on the outside of their bodies. Her visit helped us understand how bones and muscles work together to help us move every day.
